Bigi Awasaana was born from a family that never stopped cooking — even when the world asked them to stop everything else. Ahmadullah Hashmatullah and his family fled Afghanistan and rebuilt their lives in India, where they ran a restaurant from 2012, keeping the flavors of Kabul alive through every hardship.
In 2025, they brought those same recipes — perfected over generations by chef Hashmatullah Mirza Mohammad — to the streets of Reseda, Los Angeles. Every skewer, every bolani, every plate of saffron rice carries the memory of a Kabul night market and the love of a family that never let go of home.
